Oh, btw the word hangout reminds me one of an entertaining place to visit in Gurugram, and that's  Kingdom of Dreams. 

The Kingdom of Dreams is India's lead live amusement hub. Established in 2010 and situated in Gurgugram, Haryana, KOD is spread over more than 6 acres of land and offers guests various entertainment choices. Directly from live theatre to food to shopping, Kingdom of Dreams has everything.

Inside the Kingdom of Dreams is India's first skydome Culture Gully having stalls which catch the fascinating culture of 14 different states with local dishes, fine arts and street arts. It guarantees a promising excursion of a differing way of life, culture and customs of different parts of India. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes at KOD and each and every restaurant has its speciality.

You will also find many events and festivals being celebrated in Culture Gully as well as outside the premises. They host many shows for all group of ages from children to elders.

Apart from food, shopping, games and culture there is a popular Bollywood musical show Zangoora (The Gypsy Prince) performed at Nautanki Mahal of KOD. There are other 2 more popular shows, Jhumroo and Comedy Ka Overdose. To be honest I haven't watched Jhumroo and Comedy Ka Overdose but I have watched Zangoora show an that too twice. 😅 Before entering into Nautanki Mahal there will be artists standing outside the hall performing different dances, some artists dressed up in different attire to make you laugh and some for welcoming you.

The timings of KOD on Weekdays ( Tues- Fri): 12:30pm. to 12 a.m. and on Weekends (Sat-Sun): 12p.m. to 12a.m. Monday's are closed. 

Once you get into KOD you will forget about the time because you will absolutely love the ambience and will be lost in it.  Also, it is so big that you will get tired of walking but on the other hand, after every step of yours, you will find something or the other surprising and exciting! 

A day at " World Book Fair "

It is said books are the best friends. But it's true that everyone can’t afford expensive books so here's good news for all the book lovers...

World Book Fair is held in New Delhi, Pragati Maidan. 

Are you aware of the fact that the first World Book Fair was held in 1972 and was inaugurated by V.V Giri (4th President of India)! 

This fair takes places in winters and is organized out by the National Book Trust (NBT), India. Since 2013, New Delhi World Book Fair is composed by National Book Trust (NBT) in relationship with India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) every year at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi under MOU with ITPO.

Delhi Book Fair is playing a pivotal role in promoting literacy and reading habit, especially among children and youth, the fair presents a vast panorama of Indian books on a wide range of subject. The fair provides a unique platform for business to business transactions, establishing new contacts, entering into co-publishing arrangements, translation and copyright arrangements, reprinting of old and rare books, apart from providing retailing opportunities as a multitude of visitors to the fair. A number of Conferences and Seminars, buyer-seller meets, book releases, book discussions, literary activities for children and meet-the-author are organized during the Fair.

The best part about the book fair is that you not only get to buy books of Indian authors but authors of abroad too and the other awesome fact is that you get to buy all the books at a very reasonable price.

Along with the Book Fair India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) also organizes Stationery / Office Automation and Corporate Gifts Fair or we can say Stationery Fair since 1988. It gives a major chance to Indian Stationery organizations to uncover their Stationery things to the customers.

The theme of the Book Fair is different each year. The theme of the World Book Fair 2020 was ‘Gandhi: The Writers’ Writer’. The theme aims to highlight the influence of Mahatma Gandhi on Indian literature and some major authors of India as well as abroad. It will also focus on the aspects of Gandhi as a writer, editor, journalist, publisher, printer and a mass communicator par excellence.

Do you know that before 2013, New Delhi World Book Fair used to be held biennially or once in two years!

 I  felt delightful after visiting the World Book Fair and Stationery Fair.  Even if you are a non- reader I would really recommend you to at least visit the Fair once. 

 

 

A day at "Waste to Wonder"

 Hey, y'all! Despite all the troubles in the world, I hope you are doing well! 

We all wish to go out and especially I bet we all have dreamt of visiting 7 Wonders of the World!! But no worries now. The 7 wonders of the world are available in Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi now! Captivating know! 

Yes, you read it right! I am talking about the Waste to Wonder.

We have always heard of using best out of waste and Waste to Wonders actually proved it. The 7 monuments model are not actually that big but the best part is that these all are made from waste materials. 

It is the world's 1st theme park with the 7 wonders made by using industrial metal pieces, cycle chains, waste auto parts, car engines, petrol tanks, truck spring and a lot more. The idea of Waste to Wonders is inspired by Kota 7 wonders park, Rajasthan. 

Another interesting fact about this park is that it was built within half a year that is 6 months! South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has installed solar trees and rooftop panels that create 50 KW powers. What's more, the surplus power will be offered to the power distribution organizations to procure income. In the making of the recreation centre around 150 tons of scrap, 5 specialists, 7 supporting craftsmen, 70 welders and assistants were utilized. As indicated by SDMC the park was built at an expense of Rs 7.5 crore. 

The Waste to Wonders theme park consists of : 

1- TAJ MAHAL 

Place: Agra, India 

Waste Material used: Cycle rings, electric pole pipes, old pans, park benches, swings, truck springs, sheets, pipes, truck sheets, etc. 

2- GREAT PYRAMID OF GIZA

Place: Giza, Egypt 

Waste Material used:  110 layer structure has been generated by using 10,800 feet scrap angles weighing 10-12 tonnes.

3- COLOSSEUM

Place:  Rome, Italy 

Waste Material used: Electrical poles, metal railings, bench, automobile spare parts, car wheels, etc. 

4- RIO REDEEMER

Place: Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

Waste Material used: Benches square pipes, electric poles, moto bike chains and engine parts. 

5- STATUE OF LIBERTY

Place: New York, USA 

Waste Material used: Old piles, metal railings, angles, car rims, tablet carved from an MCD bench, metal sheets, old bike, bike chain and cycle chains.

6- EIFFEL TOWER

Place: Paris, France

Waste Material used: Wrought-iron lattice, automobile wastes like trucks, clutch plates, C channels, etc. 

7- LEANING TOWER OF PISA 

Place: Pisa, Italy 

Waste Material used:  Cycle rim, metal sheets and pipes. 

One of the best place to visit with family and friends. The park is well maintained and also the entry fee for kids is Rs. 25 and for adults it is Rs. 50. I will personally recommend you to visit in the evenings or nights because the lightning makes the park more beautiful and also Photos bhi achi ayegi. :D 

A day at the "Haunted Place"

Delhi is a city with endless heritage structures that reminds us of incredible past. In such an authentic city, one has a lot to tour. There is one such magical spot situated inside the city, yet a long way from the fuss of city life! 

Yes! It is none other than, the antiquated stepwell Agrasen Ki Baoli.

Agrasen Ki Baoli is one of the protected monument by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) situated near CP. It is said to be a spooky spot but it is said 'Jitne Muuh Utni Baatein!' (As many people, so much talk). Agrasen Ki Baoli isn't only an old stepwell however there are substantially more fascinating things to think about it.

The beautiful architecture of Agraseen ki Baoli is incomparable with any other historical place. But it is considered as one of the most haunted places. A few people have said that they have heard unusual noises and seen phantoms. 

Anyways, the truth is still unknown and now a lot of people hang out here, do photoshoots and is considered one of the tourist's spot.
