Malai Mandir which is located at R.K. Puram, New Delhi, is a Hindu temple basically committed to Lord Swaminatha (Kartikeya, son of Goddess Parvati and God Shiva and sibling of Lord Ganesha), generally respected by the strict Hindus of Tamil and other South Indian people group in the city. One can undoubtedly arrive at this temple by metro, closest metro station is Vasant Vihar which is around 2 km away from that point.
In the Hindu religion, the peacock is viewed as Lord Kartikey' mount or vahana. Appropriately, the temple has received a peacock as its pet. This peacock can be seen and heard among the trees and foliage inside the temple compound. People from all walks of society visit here.

It is arranged on a little hillock keeping with the custom of finding Murugan temple on slopes. The sign outside the main gate of the temple is written in Tamil, declaring Lord Swaminatha's motto, "Yaamirukka Bayamain" (யாà®®ிà®°ுக்க பயமேன்) signifying "Why fear when I am there?". The temple is built entirely of granite and is suggestive of the Chola style Tamil Architecture.

Other than the principle Swaminatha Swami Temple, the complex contains deities of Sree Karpaga Vinayagar (elder brother of Lord Swaminatha; Ganesha), Sree Sundareswarar (father of Lord Swaminatha; Shiva) and Devi Meenakshi (mother of Lord Swaminatha; Parvati). These subsidiary temples draw inspiration from the Pandya style of Tamil Architecture, as can be seen at the historic Meenakshi Amman Temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
The timings to visit the temple are 6:30 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 9 pm (Monday to Thursday), 6:30 am to 12 pm and 5:30 pm to 9 pm (Friday) and 6:30 am to 12 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm (Saturday and Sunday). The entrance is free.
Once you visit the temple you will be mesmerized by the architecture. Not only this, I really felt the positive vibes when I entered the temple and I would recommend you the same to at least once make a visit to the Malai temple.
